To ALL CD Football Parents and Players,

Below is the information for Sports Physicals and Impact Testing

Please review the dates and times FALL SPORTS PHYSICALS:

Physicals for anyone interested in fall sports will be offered on June 3 at CD EAST High School main gym at 2:45pm and on June 6 at CD High School main gym at 2:45pm. For more information go www.cdschools.org , click on the Athletics tab under Quick Links, which is located on the right side of the page, then click on Sports Physicals tab, (which is located under Athletics on left side of page). This will open you up to all the forms and information you need. Physicals will be offered for $20.00 (cash or check made payable to CDSD). If you choose not to use the service provided and see your child’s primary care physician, the physical packet may not be filled out prior to Friday, June 1, 2013 and MUST be turned in to the Athletic Training Staff by Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

ImPACT Testing: CDSD requires this test prior to participation for ALL high school PIAA sports teams! TESTING BEGINS MAY 2013 All upcoming 9th & 11th graders (regardless of when you have previously taken it) and those 10th and 12 graders whom have not had a baseline test within 2 years at CDSD are required to take the ImPACT test prior to participating in the first practice. Additionally, any 7th or 8th grader invited to participate at the high school level by a high school coach must take this test prior to participation as well. This is a computerized examutilized to successfully diagnose and manage suspected head injuries (i.e. concussions). The test can only betaken at your respective high school. Please refer to the sports physical homepage for ImPACT Information, as well as testing dates and times for your sport.

ATTENTION: Please take note of the significant changes to our summer and preseason schedule for the JV and Varsity. There will be no summer camp for the JV or Varsity this summer. The Varsity will not be attending the Bloomsburg University team camp or any other team camp. And We will begin our season a week earlier than previously stated. The first day of practice for the 2013 season is now Monday August 5. All of these changes are reflected in the schedules that are posted on this website. We will also discuss these changes and the rationale for them at the parent meeting on April 24. If you have any questions, please contact Coach McNamee at gmcnamee@cdschools.org.

The Central Dauphin Rams will be sponsoring a Community Nite event at Texas Roadhouse on Union Deposit Road on Sunday, May 19th from 12 p.m. - 4pm. The Rams club will get 10% of the sales. In addition, you can buy gift cards in advance, with 10% of the sales going to the Rams Club. Gift Cards can be purchased until the day before the event (Saturday, May 18th).

Congratulations to the Freshman Football team for their decisive win over rival East High with a 28 point 2nd quarter, the Rams won 35-6 bringing their record to 8-3 on the season.

Congratulations to the Freshman football team on their victory against Carlisle last night 48-14. This brings the Rams to a record of 7-3 on the year with 2 games to play.
