CD Swimming and Diving News (Posted 3-7-2011)Rachel McCormick and Matthew Mullen competed in the District 3 Diving Championships recently at Governor Mifflin High School. Rachel finished in 12th place; and Matthew took home a District medal for his 8th place finish. These freshmen have bright futures in diving ahead of them!

CD Swimming and Diving News (Posted 2-18-2011)Congratulations to Racheal McCormick for her 7 place out of 30 divers at the recent Mid Penn diving champs. Her high finish qualifies her to dive at Districts in 2 weeks. Good luck Racheal.
CD Swimming and Diving News (Posted 2-14-2011)“CD Freshmen splash onto Mid Penn Diving Scene" - Central Dauphin divers Rachel McCormick and Matt Mullen placed 7th and 4th respectively at the Mid Penn Diving championships earlier last week. Both Rachel and Matt had outstanding performances and secured births to the PIAA District 3 Championships later this month. Rachel tallied 321.65 points finishing a solid 7th out of 28 competitors, as Matt scored 299.65 points and finished 4th out of 15 competitors. This is a great accomplishment, considering both athletes are in their first year of High School Competition. Each has a chance to qualify for the State PIAA Championship if they finish in the top five at District 3's. We wish these two hard working freshmen much success in their endeavors on the springboards in the upcoming weeks.

Congratulations to the CD swim team for an impressive 5th place finish out of 24 teams at this year’s Mid Penn Championships. Sami Wary led all swimmers with a 2nd place and Luke Mcguire led the boys with a placing in the 100 breaststroke. Other place finishers were Keri Katch, Haley Deichmiller, Katie Lelinski, Ally Miller, and Grace Tomolavage.

Congratulations to Matt Mullen for finishing 4th at Monday’s diving Mid Penn championships. His high finish enabled him to qualify for districts and is only 30 points behind our own school record. Good luck at districts Matt.

Congratulations to the boys and girls swim team for winning their final duel meet of the season. The girls posted a victory of 99-71 and finishing the year with their best record in 15 years. Katie Lelinski led the way with 2 victories backed up with wins by Samy wary, Grace Tomolavage, and Hailey Deichmiller. The boys won a close one winning with a score of 88-82. Luke McGuire led all swimmers with 2 wins. A win by Mike Senyak and a third by Aleq Miller helped secure the win late in the meet.The girls finished the season with a record of 8-2 and the boys at 6-3 and 1.
